Operation Inked Magazine

A mission we will accomplish. Just a matter of when......

Erica and Christine have an opportunity to POSSIBLY (fingers crossed) be featured in Inked Magazine.  If there's one thing to know about the two owners of Head Rush, it's that they have a love for tattoos (and both have a lot on their bodies).

It's stereotypical to think that one tatted up is not successful, that they could never be the owners of a gorgeous hair salon. Think again.

So, first step we have to provide Inked Magazine pictures for one of the creative editors. We called a great friend and photographer to get the job done, George Stoff.

I am beyond impressed with how well the pictures came out. George is an amazing photographer and I highly recommend him if you need a shoot done.  He takes his time to make sure the end result is perfecto. (See for yourself below.)

Next step we submit the below pictures, and now we just sit back and stay positive for that return phone call.

While we wait enjoy the pictures below by the amazing George Stoff.

Here is his info:

Have a great weekend!!

New Year. New You. New Extensions?!

Nothing can make a woman feel better than having good hair! You can have the worst outfit on, old shoes, no makeup, but if your hair looks good, you feel good! So why not change it up for the new year and start with some extensions. Head Rush now offers three types of extensions: clip in, beads, and the new tape in.

Now I have had EVERY kind of extension, but one of my favorite as of right now are our tape-ins. I am slightly obsessed with them! If I could they would be everywhere. If you haven't seen mine, come in and see for yourself how amazing they are! I am basing my opinion not just what I think, but what clients have told me over the years.

You don't feel tape in extensions. You can not see them. (That's a good thing!) A lot of clients had trouble with clip in and the placement of them. They DO NOT matte and get knotty. BIG plus here. If you have had bead or fusion extension you know what I'm talking about. The hair is good for one year.
Awesome again. You get touch ups around every three months but you don't have to make that huge financial commitment as with fusion ones every time they get matted or one falls out. Tape in extensions only take a half hour to put in. If you have fine hair and are constantly wondering if someone can see your extension, tape ins are for you.

Now they are not good for everyone. Hence why we have the option of beads and clip in. The bead extensions are amazing. If you put your hair up a lot they might be a better option for you. (This won't work as well with tape-in.) Clip in extensions are good for someone who does not want to make a financial commitment at all. You pay one time for them and they last for years. You take them in and out as you want. You just will need some practice as they can be a little tricky.

So think about it. Add length, thickness and maybe even some color. The options are endless. No better time to make a change than now. Remember you could be in better hands. Head Rush is not only educated in Babe Extensions, the staff is part of the educators team on the east coast!

Hair Trends for 2013

Say goodbye to 2012. It's been real.

If you are looking for a new look for the new year, check out some of these hair trends for 2013.

1. THE HIDDEN BRAID

This is great for days when you want your hair out of your face. Easy to do and simple yet chic. Take a small piece from the side of your head, braid tightly and leave the end loose for blending. Whala!

2. ROUNDED BANGS

Let's face it, bangs are not going away anytime soon. More and more celebs are getting on the bandwagon and a way to update the look this year is to round them out and go thick. What's the difference between round and blunt bangs? Blunt goes straight across your head, while the round is an upside "U".

Styling Tip: Style your bangs as soon as you get out of shower. You could even use a Velcro roller to get that arch look.

4. SHORT SHORT HAIR

For the bold, this is one extreme look. If you are scared, just think, it's just hair, it will grow back. I know, easier said than done. Ask your stylist for the pixie cut. Miley Cyrus and Anne Hathaway both made the move, why not join them? ;0

5. MESSY UP DO'S

That look when you just throw up your hair quickly before running out to do errands, yea it's cool now. Throw it up, add some hairspray and go bobby pin crazy. Don't try to hard, the messier the better.

xoxo

Happy New Year!
